Andrew Morris Placed on 7-Day IL with Forearm Strain
Andrew Morris has been placed on the minor league 7-day injured list due to a right forearm strain. The righty posted solid numbers in Minnesota's organization before this season, but has registered a 4.41 ERA, a gaudy 1.61 WHIP, and just a 12.8 percent K-BB% (8.53 K/9) in 13 starts (63 1/3 IP) at Triple-A St. Paul in 2025. Nevertheless, with some improved command like he'd shown prior to hitting Triple-A and dropping a 13.2 percent HR/FB rate to a more palatable level, the former fourth-rounder may have made his major league debut this season. That still may be the case if this injury turns out to be minor, but for now, those plans will have to be put on hold.
