Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash (Redraft): Eric Cross' Rookie Rankings for Week 11

Samuel Basallo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Eric Cross' top 25 fantasy baseball prospects to stash in redraft for Week 11 (2025). His updated MLB rookie rankings for prospect call-ups to make 2025 impacts.

We've had a busy few weeks on the prospect promotion front with several notable callups over the last week or so, headlined by Jac Caglianone and Kyle Teel. We've also seen Ronny Mauricio, Otto Kemp, and Ryan Ritter get the call, who can all provide sneaky value as well.

Hopefully, that trend will continue here over the next week or two, and we will finally get some of the elite name promotions that we've been hoping for.

These prospect rankings are for 2025 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects who could potentially make a fantasy baseball impact in 2025 redraft leagues. You can also see our top fantasy baseball dynasty prospects rankings for longer-term outlooks and our 2025 fantasy baseball rankings dashboard for all other league formats.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Roman Anthony, Boston Red Sox

If you've ever watched The Simpsons or seen the Simpsons pitchforks meme, that's basically the state of Red Sox social media right now regarding Roman Anthony. The consensus #1 prospect in baseball is still chilling in Triple-A and hit a 497-foot home run over the weekend that was hit so far that it probably crossed state lines. In case you didn't see the home run, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

In 58 games for Triple-A Worcester, Anthony is slashing .288/.423/.491 with 21 extra-base hits, 10 home runs, three steals, and nearly as many walks (51) as strikeouts (56). The Red Sox continue providing reasons why he's not in Boston yet, but it's clear that Anthony has nothing left to prove in Triple-A. Over the last month, he has a .283/.436/.511 slash line with five home runs and more walks than strikeouts. Keep the faith and remain patient. He'll be up eventually.

Samuel Basallo, Baltimore Orioles

Slammin' Samuel Basallo is trying his darndest to slam his way from Triple-A Norfolk to Baltimore right now. Over his last 21 games, Basallo is slashing .290/.430/.754 with five doubles, nine home runs, and 16 walks. For the season, Basallo is now up to 13 home runs in 39 games with a 93.4 mph AVG EV, 55.6% hard-hit rate, and a 22.2% barrel rate. However, Basallo is below-average in both overall (66.3%) and zone (78.3%) right now. That's not a major concern, though.

While Basallo is knocking loudly on the door to Baltimore, is there a potential path to playing time here? I'm really hoping this isn't going to be another Coby Mayo situation. But speaking of Mayo, that's probably the path to regular Major League playing time for Basallo.

Mayo has started four of the last six games between first base and DH, but continues to underwhelm at the plate. If they make the swap, I could see Basallo playing regularly between first base, DH, and backing up Adley Rutschman.

Brady House, Washington Nationals

Brady House has been swinging a hot bat of late. House is currently on an eight-game hitting streak for Triple-A Worcester and has three multi-hit games in six games this month. Over his last 22 games, House is slashing .330/.367/.626 with six doubles, seven home runs, 18 RBI, and 20 runs scored.

As someone who will provide little to no steals, House needs the bat to stand out to provide fantasy value moving forward. While he's currently running a below-average 78.5% zone and 70.3% overall contact rate in Triple-A, House has a 90.9 mph AVG EV, 46.7% hard-hit rate, and a 10.8% barrel rate. It should only be a matter of time before he gets the call to take over at the hot corner for the Nationals.

Colby Thomas, Athletics

Colby Thomas has really been heating up in Triple-A over the last few weeks. He's currently on an 11-game hitting streak where he's slashing .408/.442/.755 with five doubles, four home runs, 13 RBI, and 12 runs scored. For the season, Thomas is now up to 16 doubles and 15 home runs in 58 games with a .306/.367.571 slash line for Triple-A Las Vegas.

While Thomas is still aggressive and only walking 6.3% of the time, his in zone contact rate of 82% is decent enough. He's also showing above-average quality of contact metrics with an 89.7 mph AVG EV, 40.2% hard-hit rate, and a 10.9% barrel rate.

The path to playing time in the Majors for him would be Denzel Clarke getting optioned back to Triple-A if he continues to struggle at the plate. But that would also mean Thomas or Lawrence Butler would need to shift to center field.

Chase Burns, Cincinnati Reds

After giving Double-A hitters nightmares that would put Freddy Krueger out of business, Chase Burns is getting the bump to Triple-A and is one step closer to reaching Cincinnati. In eight Double-A starts, Burns posted a pristine 1.29 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, 2.6% walk rate, and a 36.4% strikeout rate. In my June prospect rankings update, Burns vaulted over Bubba Chandler and Andrew Painter to take over the top pitching prospect spot.

While his future home ballpark isn't ideal, Burns has the potential to form one of the best 1-2 punches in baseball with Hunter Greene once he reaches Cincinnati. Burns has shown plus command and control over his 4-pitch mix, headlined by an elite 4-seam fastball and slider. With him now in Triple-A, a debut after the all-star break appears likely, especially if the Reds are still in the National League Wild Card hunt.
