Top 25 Injured Players to Stash for Fantasy Baseball - Week 7 (2025)

Casey Mize - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Josh's top 25 injured players to stash for fantasy baseball as of May 13, 2025 (Week 7). His top fantasy baseball injury stashes for IL spots and redraft leagues.

Welcome, RotoBallers, to yet another installment of the Injured Players to Stash for Fantasy Baseball series as we head into Week 7 of the 2025 MLB season. Today, we list the top 25 high-profile injured MLB players worth stashing in your leagues, including names like Teoscar Hernandez, Casey Mize, Ezequiel Tovar, and more.

Whether managers had to drop these players or they were left off rosters, you can capitalize on your league mates' mistakes. With some savvy moves to begin the year, you can set yourself up for season-long success.

Below, I've listed my top 25 injured players in fantasy baseball in order of Yahoo! roster percentage. I've also highlighted five players to watch, as they could return sooner rather than later. At the end, I've added an honorable mentions category for players who were less rostered. Without further ado, let's get to the list!

Fantasy Baseball Players To Monitor Closely

Teoscar Hernandez, OF - Los Angeles Dodgers

Rostered: 98% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: Late May

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez went down with a groin injury on May 6, but his return may not be far off.

Hernandez mashed 33 home runs and stole 12 bases in his first season with the Dodgers last year. The 32-year-old was on a similar pace this year with nine home runs and four stolen bases in his first 130 at-bats.

The Dodgers slugger will be sought after once he returns from the injured list, so try to get him at a discount before that happens.

Casey Mize, SP - Detroit Tigers

Rostered: 73% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize had an impressive start to the season before hitting the injured list with a hamstring injury. Soft tissue injuries are unpredictable, which opens a buy-low window for the young pitcher.

Mize's xERA, xBA, and BB% all rank in the 83rd percentile or better among qualified starting pitchers this season. The former first overall pick is showing the upside that was promised when he was drafted.

Reach out to the Mize manager and try to get him for pennies on the dollar while he's still on the shelf.

Ezequiel Tovar, SS - Colorado Rockies

Rostered: 63% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: May 14-18

Colorado Rockies shortstop Ezequiel Tovar has been on the injured list with a hip injury for a few weeks now, but his return is imminent.

Tovar had a decent 2024 season, hitting 26 home runs while batting .269. The 23-year-old was set up to build on that success before going down with his injury.

The Rockies' shortstop will only get better, and he has the pleasure of playing half his games at Coors Field. Tovar is only rostered in 63% of leagues and should be picked up anywhere he is available.

Andres Gimenez, 2B - Toronto Blue Jays

Rostered: 56% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Andres Gimenez is dealing with a quadriceps injury that will likely keep him out for a few weeks, but that does not mean we should forget about him.

Gimenez was off to a slow start this season, slashing .195/.273/.305 through 128 at-bats, but he was a more than useful fantasy asset as recently as last year.

The 26-year-old has stolen 30 bases in back-to-back seasons and looked well on his way to repeating that feat. When healthy, Gimenez should hit around .250 and be a plus contributor on the base paths. Add him wherever you can.

Grayson Rodriguez, SP - Baltimore Orioles

Rostered: 45% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: July

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez is dealing with a lat injury that could sideline him until July, but he is worthy of a stash if you have space on your roster.

The 25-year-old finished the 2023 season with a 4.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 122 innings. Rodriguez followed that up with a 3.86 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 116 2/3 innings during the 2024 season.

The former first-round pick has flashed his potential, and he should be able to build on his success when healthy. Stash him for the back half of the season.

Honorable Mentions

Eury Perez, SP - Miami Marlins

Rostered: 28% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: June

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Eury Perez is halfway through his eight scheduled rehab starts before returning to the big league roster. In his most recent outing, Perez racked up five strikeouts in three scoreless innings. The 22-year-old flashed ace potential during his rookie season, so stash him while you can.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF - New York Yankees

Rostered: 12% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: June

New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is working through elbow injuries and could begin taking live at-bats soon. Stanton is one of the most prolific home run hitters in the league right now, but there are a lot of questions surrounding his health and place on the team, considering the success of other hitters. That said, if you need power, Stanton is your surest bet.

Aaron Civale, SP - Milwaukee Brewers

Rostered: 2% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: Late May

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Civale made one start in 2025 before hitting the injured list with a hamstring injury. Civale recently tossed five scoreless innings in his second rehab start and could be rejoining the team very soon. The 29-year-old hurler has been a solid starter and can be an innings eater for the Brewers and fantasy teams.
