The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that she's getting good vibes coming from the Cincinnati Bengals that they are going to try and get a deal done with All-Pro pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson. Some people saw the Bengals' drafting of edge rusher Shemar Stewart in the first round in last week's NFL draft as a sign of the end of the Hendrickson era in Cincinnati, but that might not be the case at all. The Bengals already signed receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to big extensions this offseason, but Hendrickson is still left out in the cold. The 30-year-old veteran was given permission to seek a trade, but Cincy has been asking for a ton in return, which is why nothing has gone down on that front. If Hendrickson signs an extension with the Bengals, it will likely be a hometown discount. Hendrickson has made the Pro Bowl each of the last four seasons and led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
