Dynasty fantasy football never sleeps. Even if you think your team is set up for success and you like how your rosters look, there are plenty of players that end up as overvalued or undervalued, depending on how they produced last season.

It's just a fact that sometimes players have abnormally good or bad seasons, and their production rises or falls because of it, not because of their skill as a player. A rash of injuries to the teams around them and a weak overall roster can help drive a player's productivity down.

However, sometimes players are in nut situations, and their good fortune doesn't last, yet their Dynasty fantasy value doesn't reflect that. Paying attention to what's going on around a player is important. Let's keep all that in mind as we dive into three buy/sell recommendations for three quarterbacks for Dynasty.

Brock Purdy, QB, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy experienced a bit of a production slump in 2024 compared to his 2023 season. While many may think that he's a less valuable Dynasty fantasy football asset because of this, it's hardly his fault that his numbers took a dip. The team was demolished by injuries this season, though they aren't nicknamed "the 49IRs" for no reason.

Still, losing running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk for most of the season put a big dent in the strength of their offensive roster. In addition, the offensive line deteriorated, though that's more of a long-term concern, which actually works against Purdy's value. To be honest, they'll need to address this problem.

Brock Purdy is not using the 49ers' ever-growing list of injuries as an excuse for their disappointing season.

It's not surprising that Purdy blamed himself, but missing your RB1 and WR1 hurts badly. Additionally, wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. had pneumonia, and though he only missed one game because of it, he looked substantially worse on tape and had far inferior production when compared to his previous seasons.

Purdy should perform better next year. WR Ricky Pearsall will be in his second year, while Aiyuk and McCaffrey will return from injury. The OL needs to be addressed through free agency or the draft, but Purdy is an excellent sack avoider, so he can play serviceably even when the OL is made of swiss cheese.

We like buying Purdy at his depressed value right now.

Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young had a resurgent second half of his year after his early-season benching due to performance issues. He was actually fantasy-relevant for a stretch, which we hadn't seen before. Still, it's worth questioning if he should be sold.

Young logged 11 passing touchdowns and five rushing scores in his last seven games. The rush TD production seems unlikely to hold up, as he has a slighter build and probably shouldn't be used at the goal line heavily. And he faced a very easy (overall) stretch of competition to close out the year.

He did play well against the Philadelphia Eagles, to his credit, but two games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their extremely porous and injury-ridden pass defense, one against the Atlanta Falcons, who also have a terrible secondary, and one against the Kansas City Chiefs, who couldn't defend an entire side of the field against the pass.

Young did get some upgrades to his offensive line, and that played a part in his improvements. But the first two games still stand out as major red flags. His fantasy scores were boosted by the rush TDs, which shouldn't stick. Still, the team could easily add to their arsenal of pass-catchers.

I'm not convinced he's fully turned it around, though. I'd be looking to sell him because there are likely many in the community who still believe he could develop into a great QB1.

Michael Penix Jr., QB, Atlanta Falcons

Of the three players on this list, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is the most difficult to evaluate, mostly because we've hardly seen him play. The original starter for the Falcons this season, QB Kirk Cousins, was benched due to performance issues, and it seems likely that he won't be on the team next season.

It now makes sense why the team used such a high pick on Penix, in what was originally seen as a poor decision. Now it was the Cousins signing that looked like a terrible choice and the draft selection as excellent. But we, as evaluators, still don't have much to go off of, other than a little bit of rookie tape and the college film we already had.

So we already knew the talent was there. And the Falcons do play in an easy division -- the NFC South was the worst division in football, and none of the four teams were strong on defense, with the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with the Falcons, all having poor pass defenses.

Being thrust into the starting role late in the season also doesn't help. But Penix's excellent sack avoidance, ability to make great throws, presence in a weak division, and spot on a roster loaded with offensive weapons and a solid offensive line all make him a solid buy for Dynasty.

He has a good amount of development to do. But wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney and running back Bijan Robinson amount to a trio of talented pass-catchers that will boost his production.

He doesn't have a ton of rushing upside, and his completion percentage isn't inspiring, but he won't require a lot of capital to trade for. In some leagues, he'll definitely be worth taking a shot on. Even if he turns out to be disappointing overall, he's pretty cheap right now.

We'd recommend you make a move for him, and if you have him, it's probably not a good idea to sell him for the current going rate.
