Fantasy Football Injury Reports: Wild Card Weekend Updates For Jalen Hurts, Jordan Love, Jayden Daniels, A.J. Brown, Aaron Jones

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for QB, RB, WR, TE for Wild Card Weekend (2024-25), as of 1/11/25, including Jalen Hurts, Jordan Love, Jayden Daniels, and A.J. Brown.

Playoff formats get underway with Wild Card Weekend this week, and with only a dozen teams in action, the player pool has gotten drastically smaller.

That means managers must evaluate a narrower range of options, especially when considering injuries to key players like Jalen Hurts, Aaron Jones, Jordan Love, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith.

To stay updated, the RotoBaller fantasy football mobile app is free to download, and the fantasy football player news page is always a good choice for a favorite folder. This is the latest as of Saturday, January 11.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Jalen Hurts Injury Update

The Philadelphia Eagles received good news with quarterback Jalen Hurts (concussion), who cleared protocol and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card meeting against the Green Bay Packers.

The Eagles starter has not played since leaving the Week 16 game with the injury but will be back in time to start their playoff opener. Backup Kenny Pickett (ribs), who did not play in Week 18, also did not have a designation, so Sunday should be a full go for Philly.

Aaron Jones and Sam Darnold Injury Updates

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (quad) practiced in a limited capacity Friday, while quarterback Sam Darnold (quad) was a full participant before taking on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.

Both practice statuses increase the likelihood that both players will be off Minnesota's final injury list when it is released Saturday. Darnold and Jones are both expected to play when the Vikings take on the Rams, a game moved to Arizona due to the L.A. wildfires.

A.J. Brown Injury Update

The Philadelphia Eagles listed wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) without a designation against Green Bay on their final injury report.

The veteran receiver did not play in Week 18, but Philly was already locked into the No. 2 seed, win or lose. Brown was able to practice on Friday and should be ready to go when the Eagles take on the Packers.

Jayden Daniels Injury Update

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (quad) does not appear on the team's Wild Card Weekend injury report.

The rookie was able to practice during the week and the Commanders were not particularly concerned about the injury, so the lack of a designation is business as usual. Daniels will make his first playoff start when Washington travels to play Tampa Bay.

Jordan Love Injury Update

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (elbow) does not appear on Green Bay's final injury report before playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round.

Love was able to fully practice and remains on track to play. Additionally, backup Malik Willis (thumb) did not appear on the injury report, putting Green Bay's quarterback room back to normal.

DeVonta Smith Injury Update

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (back) did not practice Friday but does not have a designation for the Wild Card game against Green Bay, according to the team's final injury report of the week.

Smith missing practice for back tightness may have raised some eyebrows, but it sounds as if the receiver still will play in the game.

Cade Otton Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton (knee) is listed as questionable to play in Sunday's playoff game against the Washington Commanders, according to the team's final injury report.

Otton practiced all three days during the week, including back-to-back full practices on Thursday and Friday, which seems to indicate he has a very good chance to play. Backup Payne Durham caught two touchdowns in the past three weeks with Otton out of the lineup.

Deshaun Watson Injury Update

Though the Cleveland Browns are way out of the playoff picture, there was a significant update in the rehab of starting quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles). The team confirmed Friday that he tore the injured tendon again and required a second surgery, putting his entire 2025 season in jeopardy after missing the final 10 games of 2024.

It's yet another ugly chapter in the unmitigated disaster that has been Watson in Cleveland, though the quarterback's awful play combined with the injury likely will force the Browns to consider a new option either in free agency or the NFL Draft. They hold the No. 2 pick this spring.
