With the MLB trade deadline over, it's time to focus on the waiver wire to help secure those fantasy baseball championships. Today, we will review our mid-week waiver rankings for Week 19 -- July 29 through August 4 -- to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves.
The Baltimore Orioles recalled top prospect Jackson Holliday on Tuesday, and he smashed a grand slam in his first game back in the big leagues while other top prospects such as Coby Mayo, Dylan Crews, Deyvison De Los Santos, and Junior Caminero patiently wait for a promotion. Some notable recent performances include Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who is hitting .444 (12-for-27) with five home runs, nine RBI, and a 1.558 OPS over his last seven games. Miami Marlins infielder Xavier Edwards hit for the cycle on Sunday and is slashing .500/.531/.731 over his last 33 plate appearances.
