NBA DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/23/24)

Today's top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel on January 23rd, 2024. Max Kulish's NBA DFS sleeper picks for building winning DFS lineups.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Tonight we've got a five-game slate headlined by a pair of same-city rivalries on TNT. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/23/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

As always, feel free to follow my X/Twitter (@Maxadelphia) to keep up to date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jalen Brunson, NYK @ BKN – PG ($8,700 DK; $9,300 FD)

Brunson has been turning into a star for the Knicks. The Villanova alum just posted back-to-back 60+ point fantasy games and has gone under 30 fantasy points just once since Christmas (which was a game he played only 26 minutes in due to the game being a blowout). He also has four straight 30+ point games and has gone over 30 in five of the Knicks' last six games. We know Tom Thibodeau likes to play his starters big minutes, and with the Knicks on three days of rest and being in NYC for a week straight, I like Brunson's chances to play big minutes tonight.

Collin Sexton, UTA @ NO – PG/SG ($6,200 DK; $7,800 FD)

Sexton has been a revelation for the Jazz since entering the starting lineup full-time. You can check the tweet below for the full numbers, but from a DFS perspective, he looks to be wildly underpriced for tonight. He has three straight games of 40+ fantasy points and is averaging 38.5 fantasy points per game over his last eight games.

TJ McConnell, IND vs DEN – PG ($5,500 DK; $5,200 FD)

In the absence of Tyrese Haliburton, McConnell is always worth a look. Although he had a dud Monday night in Phoenix where he got benched, he averaged 15/3/8 in his previous two starts and is very capable of hitting double-digit assists.

ALSO CONSIDER: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, ($10,000 DK; $10,900 FD), Jordan Hawkins, ($4,000 DK; $4,600 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Davis, LAL @ LAC – PF/C ($10,200 DK; $11,400 FD)

With LeBron already ruled out for this game due to an ankle issue, it should be the AD show tonight. In the 54 games he's played for the Lakers without LeBron, he averages 25.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

Lauri Markkanen, UTA @ NO – SF/PF ($8,100 DK; $8,900 FD)

Markkanen is another Jazz player whose spot I love tonight. The Jazz players project very well for their prices, which is helped tremendously by the game environment tonight - which has the highest implied total on the slate (240). In his last eight games, Markkanen is averaging 48 fantasy points per game. With both teams in this game on multiple days of rest, I like the chances that this game can turn into a shootout.

Precious Achiuwa, NYK @ BKN  – PF/C ($4,200 DK; $5,500 FD)

With Isaiah Hartenstein listed as doubtful as of Tuesday morning, Achiuwa looks to have another fantastic opportunity in front of him. Hartenstein left Saturday's game against the Raptors early, and Achiuwa played 25 minutes, posting 33.75 fantasy points in the process. As mentioned earlier, Thibs plays his starters huge minutes which should give Achiuwa a solid floor/ceiling combo.

ALSO CONSIDER: Brandon Ingram, ($7,600 DK; $8,100 FD), Buddy Hield, ($5,800 DK; $6,300 FD)

Today's DraftKings, FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Jokic, DEN @ IND – C ($11,200 DK; $12,100 FD)

Coming off a monstrous 42/12/8 performance against the lowly Wizards, the Joker gets another great spot tonight in Indiana. The Pacers allow the second most points per game (123.1), have the fourth-worst defensive rating (119.5), and are second in pace (103.09).

Mason Plumlee, LAC vs LAL – C ($4,200 DK; $6,900 FD)

Although he's in a timeshare with Daniel Theis while Ivica Zubac misses time, Plumlee has been the better fantasy asset and comes at a $400 discount from Theis. I expect both to see decent minutes tonight to try and keep Anthony Davis in check, but Plumlee is the much better rebounder which gives him a considerable edge in my opinion.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jarred Vanderbilt, ($3,700 DK; $4,300 FD),
