DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/26/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Orland Arcia- Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on September 26, 2023. Dawn Tepper's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! Another day, another 11-game slate following a double-header on Monday Night Football. But we're here for baseball and have great matchups tonight, so let's dig in!

Stacks I'll be focusing on for tonight's slate include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, and the Seattle Mariners. The Dodgers are at Coors Field, and they will be chalky, but given how strong their bats are outside of Colorado, I don't see how I can fade this game. I'll try to be different with my bats to get some leverage on either team.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/26/2023 and the slate locking at 7:07 p.m. ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks! DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kevin Gausman, TOR vs. NYY ($11,500 DK, $11,100 FD)

Gausman has two wins out of three starts versus New York this season, with an ERA of 0.90 with 31 strikeouts in 20 innings pitched. He is 12-9 for the season, with a 3.29 ERA. In last week's win over the Yankees, he allowed three hits and three walks, fanning ten over six scoreless innings.

As of today, September 26th, 2023, the team is in second for the American League wild card, leading the Astros by two games and the Mariners by 2.5. I expect Gausman to continue his clutch performances down the stretch, including another win at home versus the Bombers.

George Kirby, SEA vs. HOU ($9,700 DK, $9,600 FD)

In Kirby's last outing versus the Astros, he had a 1.35 ERA with three strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched. He is 6-4 at home with a 3.17 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 82.1 innings pitched. They are tied for third with the Astros in the AL wild-card race, making this an especially compelling start for the right-hander.

In two appearances versus Houston (2022 and July 2023), he is 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA and 10 strikeouts. Jose Altuve, Houston's best Houston bat versus right-handers, is 0-1 in two plate appearances versus Kirby. It won't be easy, but I expect Kirby to keep the Mariners' playoff hopes alive versus the Astros, and I will be rostering him in my lineups tonight.

Also consider Michael King, Braxton Garrett, Zack Eflin, Seth Lugo

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Matthew Batten, 2B, SD vs. SF ($3,000 DK, $2,300 FD)

In 38 games this year, when facing left-handed pitchers, Batten has a  .394/.474/.545 slash line with a .150 ISO and 187(!) wRC+. San Diego is one of my favorite stacks tonight, especially in tournaments, as there is a lot we don't know about Kyle Harrison. What we do know is that versus lefties, the Padres have a 197 ISO and a 125 wRC+. At Batten's price tag, you can get Manny Machado and probably Tatis, Jr., and create a great stack of Padres bats.

Josh Jung, 3B, TEX vs. LAA ($4,800 DK, $3,300 FD)

Jung is slashing .271/.317/.480 for the season, and in 50 games versus left-handed pitchers, he is batting .333/.368/.639 with nine home runs and 22 RBI. Texas is full-steam ahead toward the postseason, trying to clinch the AL West, and a series versus the Angels could be the ticket.

Versus lefties, the Rangers are .271/.349/.449, with 49 home runs and 210 RBI. Left-handed Halo Reid Detmer has not done well in seven games versus the AL West this season, with a 6.02 ERA, 47 hits, seven homers, and 32 runs allowed. The Rangers have a great opportunity to get closer to clinching their division versus Los Angeles, and is another stack I'll be looking at for tonight's slate.

Orlando Arcia, SS, ATL vs. CHC ($3,800 DK, $2,800 FD)

Atlanta has a tough matchup against lefty Justin Steele tonight, but they have a .242 ISO versus left-handed pitchers, and, in the past 30 days overall, they have a .226 ISO and a 124 wRC+. Over his last five outings, Arcia is slashing .412/.450/.471, and versus lefties, he is .309/.398/.617. It's going to be tough keeping anyone from Atlanta from getting hits tonight, even with a tough matchup against Steele, but I'm counting on Arcia to make some noise tomorrow.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Carroll, OF, ARI vs. CHW ($5,600 DK, $4,100 FD)

Carroll continues his rookie campaign with a .288/.363/.509 slash line and, over the previous five games, is batting .478/.500/.696 with 11 hits, two doubles, a home run, and four RBI. Carroll is facing right-hander Jose Urena, who is allowing a .403 wOBA, and to lefties, a .325/.380/.639 slash line. Arizona is another stackable offense on tonight's slate, and although it'll be highly owned, I will still consider the Carroll and the D-backs and try to find leverage on the high end of the lineup.

Fernando Tatis Jr., OF, SD vs. SF ($5,900 DK, $3,800 FD)

As mentioned above, the Padres have a 197 ISO and a 125 wRC+ versus lefties and will be a popular stack tonight versus Kyle Harrison. Tatis Jr. is slashing .266/.330/.463 for the season, and versus left-handed pitchers, he is batting .311/.393/.549 with eight doubles, seven home runs, and 21 RBI. As mentioned above, the Padres are a favorite stack tonight, and if you add Matthew Batten as your catcher at $3,000 on DraftKings, you should be able to fit Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado.

Ronald Acuna Jr., ATL vs. CHC ($6,900 DK, $5,000 FD)

Another big bat on today's list of hitters is Acuna Jr., who is slashing .336/.415/.595 for the season and, over the last five days, is batting .333/.360/.833 with six runs, six hits, one double, one triple, three homers, and three RBI. Atlanta has a .242 ISO versus left-handed pitchers, and, in the past 30 days overall, they have a .226 ISO and a 124 wRC+. A classic "don't overthink it" spot; stack the Braves and include Acuna Jr. and Orlando Arcia.
