DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/8/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Armando Bacot CBB DFS ncaa tournament daily fantasy college basketball march madness

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 3/8/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

Here we are! Conference Championship Week is when the Madness of March really starts. The ACC, Big 12(10), Big Ten(14), Pac 12, SEC, and Big East tournaments are all underway today into tonight. Who will outperform what they did in the regular season?

The Big 12(10) offers up Texas Tech, West Virginia, and the Oklahoma schools. Who doesn't want another round of Bedlam? The Pac 12 gives us Stanford, Utah, Oregon State, and Arizona State. The ACC gives us Virginia Tech. North Carolina, North Carolina State, and Boston College after a rowdy afternoon in Greensboro. We get Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Wisconsin out of the Big Ten(14). We get Ole Miss, Cocky, LSU, and Georgia from the SEC. The cherry is Georgetown and Villanova from the Big East. Are you ready for March Madness? It starts now, and I will be with you every step of the way. Strap in! It's going to be one hell of a ride!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/8/23, starting at 5:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jarkel Joiner, North Carolina State ($9,100)

Terquavion Smith has slowed down, but it has been an all-out assault by Joiner of late. He has scored at least 25 points in three of the last four games and four of the last six. That's not counting a triple-double against Syracuse on Valentine's Day and his normally strong peripheral stats. Joiner hasn't been under 30 DraftKings points since the Virginia game over a month ago and delivered 33.5 DraftKings points in Blacksburg in just 28 minutes back in January. Joiner is the surest thing of the night!

Sam Griesel, Nebraska ($7,400)

We all know how Nebraska fans live in a parallel universe when it comes to college sports. They're making a run to the NCAA Tournament via the Big Ten(14) automatic bid. Just ask them. If the fans are right, that miracle run all starts with Griesel. He has at least 24 DraftKings points in six straight games, including 60.5 DraftKings points against Minnesota in two games this year. You can ink Griesel in for a good night tonight.

Jaeden Zackery, Boston College ($6,900)

Zackery isn't shooting anywhere near the clip that he did last year. He's down a shade over five percent from the floor and down a staggering 13.2% from beyond the arc despite similar shot volume. However, Zackery is starting to get those numbers back toward last year's totals. He has scored in double figures in four straight games, shooting 50% or better in three of those. One of those was against ACC giant Virginia. So no, I'm not scared of the Tarheels.

James White, Mississippi ($4,400)

The Rebels have had an utterly awful SEC season, but that has meant a lot of playing time for younger players. White is one of the guys to take advantage of that. He has played 105 minutes over the last four games, tallying 71.75 DraftKings points in that span. To put that in perspective, White played a total of just 46 minutes over the prior six games. He's trending upward at the right time and the price has been slow to adjust.

Also consider: Erik Stevenson, West Virginia ($8,800); Caleb Love, North Carolina ($8,200); Matthew Murrell, Mississippi ($7,700); Jaylon Tyson, Texas Tech ($7,000); Justin Moore, Villanova ($6,700); Kedrian Johnson, West Virginia ($6,400); Caleb Asberry, Oklahoma State ($6,200); Bruce Thornton, Ohio State ($5,300); Jamarques Lawrence, Nebraska ($4,600); Otega Oweh, Oklahoma ($3,900)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

KJ Williams, LSU ($9,600)

There have been a lot of ebbs and flows for Williams this year, but he is in the midst of a positive one right now. Williams has topped 48 DraftKings points in two of the last four games. He bullied Georgia on Valentine's Day in the only meeting of the season and there's no reason to think he won't do it again. Williams is a huge double-double threat. You probably can't get away from Bacot in cash games, but for GPP purposes, I'll fade the slumping Bacot and use the extra $700 elsewhere.

Dawson Garcia, Minnesota ($8,100)

Garcia has been arguably the only bright spot for the Gophers this year. This is a very young team and they have shown improvement at the end of the year. They stormed back from 13 down with 80 seconds left to beat Rutgers in the Barn and took the Badgers to the wire last weekend. Garcia is a big reason why. He has at least 29 DraftKings points in every game since his return from injury on February 18. One of those was nearly a 40-bomb on Nebraska, a feat he accomplished in the first meeting with the Cornhuskers.

Moussa Cisse, Oklahoma State ($5,900)

Cisse finally took his starting job back at the expense of Kalib Boone, but he finally went over 25 minutes for the first time since December 20 against Texas Tech last week. It's now or never for the Pokes. They lost five straight after a big win in Hilton Coliseum back on Valentine's Day to put them right back on the bubble. That's why Cisse played 35 minutes against the Red Raiders. They needed him. They most certainly will again tonight. Cisse is one of the few players I'll use against a tough Oklahoma defense because he racked up 28.5 DraftKings points while only scoring six points. Scoring is his weak point. That said, Cisse's last game in double figures was against this Oklahoma team on February 1.

Robert Allen, Mississippi ($4,400)

The Rebels tinkered with lineups at the end of January into February and it messed with Allen's minutes. He has played over 20 minutes in three straight games now, and it could have been more if not for some foul trouble. Allen played over 20 minutes in both games against the Gamecocks this year, so he should be a relatively safe value play. Allen has cleared 20 DraftKings points in each of the last two games. If he can keep the streak going, that's a great return at this price.

Also consider: Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($10,300); Derrick Walker, Nebraska ($8,600); Fardaws Aimaq, Texas Tech ($7,900); Spencer Jones, Stanford ($7,500); Myles Burns, Mississippi ($6,500); T.J. Bickerstaff, Boston College ($5,000); Michael Rataj, Oregon State ($4,600); Wade Breidenbach, Nebraska ($3,200)
