DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday (12/17/22)

Rashee Rice - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily College Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Draft

We got the appetizer yesterday. Today is the main course! There are seven bowl games today, but DraftKings decided that the Fenway Bowl and the Celebration Bowl, both of which start around noon, weren't worth their time. That's unfortunate because Malik Cunningham was in a good spot. We also don't get to use Shedeur Sanders in DFS lineups yet, so that's a bit disappointing.

They make us wait until 2:30 pm Eastern to start this off. The Las Vegas Bowl between Florida and Oregon State starts us off. An hour later, we have Washington State and Fresno State in Jimmy Kimmel's Bowl. How did he get so important? Next up is the Lending Tree Bowl in Mobile between Rice and Southern Miss. Next we head out to Albuquerque (don't take a wrong turn on the way) for the acronym bowl between BYU and SMU. We end in the metroplex with the Frisco Bowl between North Texas and Boise State.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/17/22 locking at 2:30 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Taylen Green, Boise State ($7,200)

Haener hasn't turned the ball over in five games, but he also hasn't hit double digits in DraftKings points in the last two. I'm chasing the upside of Green here. The North Texas defense has had bouts of inconsistency all season long. Green threw his first interception since Week 8 in the Mountain West Championship loss to Fresno. The North Texas defense has been torched through the air and only picked off eight passes in 12 games. Add in the rushing upside of Green, and we have a guy that can vault us to the top.

Tanner Mordecai, SMU ($6,900)

Mordecai throws for a lot of yards and doesn't make many mistakes. He's a high-efficiency guy in a pass-first offense. Not only that, but BYU's defense allowed over 300 passing yards in their last two games. Big deal, right? It is when those games were against Stanford and...Dixie State. BYU's run defense has been more of an issue, but SMU will still have plenty through the friendly skies as well.

Jack Miller III, Florida ($4,500)

Anthony Richardson is heading for the NFL, which leaves the Gators without a guy that has thrown a pass this season with Jalen Kitna kicked off the team. Billy Napier said that Miller will start the Las Vegas Bowl. He likely has a fairly short leash, but he is a former four-start prospect that is finally getting a chance. At minimum price in a GPP, Miller is an interesting option.

Also consider: Jake Haener, Fresno State ($8,000); Austin Aune, North Texas ($5,400); Trey Lowe, Southern Mississippi ($5,100)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Frank Gore Jr., Southern Mississippi ($7,200)

Rice gave up over 2,000 rushing yards on the season and right at five yards per carry along with 19 touchdowns. That breaks down to about 167 yards and a touchdown and a half per game at five yards per carry. That's just on average, and Gore is way above average. He has slate-breaking potential here since he basically has the backfield to himself.

Nakia Watson, Washington State ($6,500)

If you want upside, it's right here. Watson has 12 receptions over the last two games when opponents wanted to stop him from running. Instead, Watson put up a rushing and receiving touchdown in each of those games. In the two games before that, Watson topped 100 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns on the ground. The Cougars will get him the ball any way they can. The offense has run through Watson in his four games as the starter. This game won't be any different.

Tyler Lavine, SMU ($5,400)

Tre Siggers is out, which means Lavine will get as many carries as he can handle against a BYU defense that just gave up more than 600 yards of offense to Stanford. The Ponies are running Lavine. He has 85 carries over the last four games and has scored seven touchdowns in five games since Siggers went down. He feels really cheap in this spot, especially with Rashee Rice out with a broken toe. Running back is freaking loaded on this slate!

Also consider: George Holani, Boise State ($7,700); Jordan Mims, Fresno State ($7,400); Chris Brooks, BYU ($6,300); Trevor Etienne, Florida ($4,600)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Nikko Remigio, Fresno State ($6,900)

The Cal transfer is having quite a season for Fresno. He has at least five receptions in every game since Week 7 and has returned two punts for touchdowns this year. Jalen Moreno-Cropper is the more talented receiver, but teams have been flocking towards him in coverage, leaving Remigio open more often than not. Haener finds the open guy and most of the time that has been Remigio this year. Cropper can break the slate, but Remigio is definitely my target in cash games. Cropper only has 16 DraftKings points in the last two games combined.

Jordan Kerley, SMU ($5,900)

The Ponies are going to miss Rashee Rice, but Kerley picked up 16 receptions – more than half of his season total – in the last three games despite Rice being healthy. He should step right into many of those vacated targets. Rice had 96 receptions for 1.355 yards and ten touchdowns this season. There's going to be a lot more to go around, and much of it will land on Kerley's plate.

Ricky Pearsall, Florida ($5,200)

Remember that blue-and-orange streak bolting down the field against the Seminoles in the first half of that game? It was Pearsall, who ripped off two long touchdowns before Richardson went ice cold. Pearsall is a burner who could give the Oregon State secondary some problems. Once again, quarterback is a huge question mark for the Gators. However, if you're going to take a chance on Miller in a GPP, you may as well run Pearsall with him. His potential is very high..for a boom and a bust.

Also consider: Luke McCaffrey, Rice ($6,700); De'zhaun Stribling, Washgington State ($6,100); Keanu Hill, BYU ($5,300); Robert Ferrel, Washington State ($5,100); Eric McAlister, Boise State
