Should I Pickup Hunter Henry For Fantasy Football Week 13? Waiver Wire Outlook

Should I pickup Hunter Henry for fantasy football Week 13? Is Hunter Henry a good fantasy pick off the waiver wire? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.

Heading into Week 12, Hunter Henry was the TE26 and averaged an abysmal 5.2 PPG. Week 11's one-catch outing against the New York Jets marked Henry's sixth game with two or fewer catches this season. With just 23 receptions on the season, the lack of involvement in the New England offense is hindering the veteran's fantasy value this season.

The former Los Angeles Charger had his best game of the season on Thanksgiving night against the Minnesota Vikings. Henry reeled in three of five targets for 63 yards and a touchdown. The tight end also had a controversial scoring opportunity late in the game for the Patriots that was ruled incomplete.

Following his 15.3-point outing, many are wondering if Henry is worth a roster spot for the rest of the season. What is Hunter Henry's fantasy football outlook? Should I pick up Hunter Henry after Week 12?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

What is Hunter Henry's Fantasy Football Outlook?

Not known for his possessive skills, Hunter Henry's historical fantasy value has been manufactured near the goal line. Henry had the second-most touchdowns among tight ends last year with nine. This year, the 27-year-old has visited the end zone just twice.

Henry was the most efficient weapon inside the red zone last year. He led New England with 18 targets inside the 20. He paced the team with nine catches, all of which resulted in touchdowns. This rare blend of volume and efficiency did not carry into Henry's second season as a Patriot. So far this season, Henry has caught one of five red zone targets.

Week 12 marked the second time that the former Arkansas Razorback eclipsed 10 fantasy points in a game this season. Henry's drop-off in volume has made him a matchup-dependent streaming option at tight end. It's hard to imagine any consistency surfacing two-thirds of the way through the season.

Should I Pickup Hunter Henry For Fantasy Football Week 13?

The Patriots play on Thursday night for the second-straight week. Week 13 kicks off with the Patriots hosting their divisional rivals, the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this year.

In two games against Buffalo last year, Henry caught one of six targets for nine yards. Fantasy managers should not be jumping-over-joy for Henry this week.

Rostered in 30% of leagues, Henry is likely to remain on your waiver wire even after a season-best performance. You shouldn't be ambitious to add Henry this week.
