DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 4 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Main Slate (9/24/22)

Bijan Robinson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

As we move on to Week 4, conference play begins in earnest for some teams while the others are getting in one final tune-up. We have a baker's dozen of games on the main slate and we have some good ones! The battle of the Tigers from the Plains and the battle for the Iron Skillet kick us off, as does a great basketball matchup with Duke at the Phog (if only). Maryland heads to Michigan to give the Harbaughs their first real test and Baylor heads up to Ames to pay the Cyclones a visit. Central Michigan heads into Happy Valley to close out the noon kickoffs.

The afternoon begins with Florida heading up to Knoxville to take on the high-flying Heupels. Texas heads to Lubbock to take on a loose Tech team that could give them some problems. Notre Dame hits the road to Tobacco Road to take on the Tarheels. Minnesota heads to East Lansing. We have Indiana in Cincinnati and we close out the main slate with Oregon heading up to Washington State to give us some Pac 12 flavor. This is going to be a great one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/24/22 locking at noon eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Jalon Daniels, Kansas ($7,900)

The Jayhawks have yet to meet a defense that can handle them this year. If Houston couldn't do it, I'm quite sure Duke can't either. Daniels feels cheap here. He does everything for the Jayhawks. He accounted for five touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) in the upset of Houston and hasn't committed a turnover since Week 1. Daniels isn't a prolific passer, but he has 208 rushing yards in the last two games. He's worth this price, especially since he's still throwing a few passing touchdowns per game.

Connor Bazelak, Indiana ($6,000)

This is more of a volume play than anything. Bazelak has thrown more than 50 passes in the two games against FBS competition this season, going for over 300 yards in each of those games. Indiana runs a lot of plays so the volume is going to be there. Bazelak has yet to put up a bunch of scores, but in a game where the Hoosiers might have issues running the ball, we could see Indiana forced to pass more inside the 10. That could result in a couple more passing touchdowns for Bazelak.

Drew Pyne, Notre Dame ($5,400)

North Carolina's defense has been gouged by everyone so far. The Irish offense moved better with Pyne under center, and he shouldn't be looking over his shoulder with Tyler Buchner sustaining a shoulder injury and missing the rest of the season. Pyne is going to have his share of issues, but a solid outing against Cal should lead to an outstanding performance against a Tarheels defense that has allowed 275 passing yards per game so far this year.

Robby Ashford, Auburn ($5,000)

T.J. Finley is going to miss this game for Auburn, so we will finally get to see what Ashford can do over the course of a full game. He was solid against Penn State even though the game was mostly out of hand when he was allowed to play in it. Ashford has been mostly used to run when he has played for the Tigers so far. We will likely see him mostly run against Missouri as well. The Missouri defense is pedestrian at best. I like the upside for Ashford at this price.

Also consider: Sean Clifford, Penn State ($8,300); Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland ($7,600); DJ Uiagalelei, Clemson ($6,300); Bo Nix, Oregon ($5,900); Cameron Ward, Washington State ($5,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Bijan Robinson, Texas ($8,300)

The Texas offense post Quinn Ewers featured a lot of running for Robinson. He racked up 183 rushing yards and three touchdowns on UTSA last weekend. This is going to be another battle in Lubbock. North Carolina State got most of their work done on the ground last weekend, so I would expect Texas to do the same here. Ibrahim could be in for a big game against Michigan State, but Robinson will have more room against Tech in what should be a higher-scoring game. I'll save the $1300 and chase the better matchup.

Nicholas Singleton, Penn State ($6,400)

Singleton has back-to-back 100+ rushing yard games and should make it three in a row against Central Michigan. While the better play of Sean Clifford has made a huge difference for Penn State, the fact that they have a running game for the first time in a couple of years can't be understated either. Singleton has taken the job for himself even though he will still split carries with Keyvone Lee. Singleton is the game-breaker that you want in your lineup.

Tank Bigsby, Auburn ($6,400)

It was slow going for Tank and the Auburn offense against Penn State last weekend. That won't be the case against Missouri. The Missouri defense is better than last year, but that's not saying much. They are still allowing 117.3 rushing yards per game. With Finley out, I expect to see Auburn running the ball a lot more than usual. Both Tank and Jarquez Hunter should have productive days.

Cody Schrader, Missouri ($3,500)

Stanford transfer Nathaniel Peat is still the starter, but Schrader still keeps getting a solid amount of carries. There is risk involved with any Missouri backs at this point, but after seeing the success that Penn State had on the ground, there is a decent chance of success for Schrader and Peat...I just don't feel like paying the premium for Peat.

Also consider: Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota ($9,600); Lew Nichols III, Central Michigan ($6,800); Omarion Hampton, North Carolina ($5,500); Jalen Berger, Michigan State ($5,300); Jirehl Brock, Iowa State ($4,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Rashee Rice, SMU ($8,600)

Rice has racked up 28 receptions for 491 yards in just three games! That's good for at least 33 DraftKings points in every game so far. The TCU defense won't be able to stop him either. Rice may not have the highest ceiling, but his floor is the best of any player at any position. The volume is always going to be there for Rice.

Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State ($6,700)

I have some reservations about his quarterback play, but Hutchinson is a huge target hog on this team. Hutchinson has 16 more catches than anyone else on the team through three games and he has scored five touchdowns already. All other pass catchers have three combined. No other Cyclone receiver has more than 90 yards. Hutchinson has 319. I have no issue paying for volume like this no matter who the opponent is.

Cam Camper, Indiana ($5,600)

A possession receiver can be a huge asset against a stingy defense like Cincinnati. Not counting the Idaho game, Camper has 19 receptions for 249 yards. He didn't notch his first touchdown until last week, but with more teams rolling coverage to D.J. Matthews, Camper should find the going a little easier on his side of the field.

Brevyn Spann-Ford, Minnesota ($3,500)

The loss of Chris Autman-Bell opens up a ton of targets for the Gophers. Brown-Stephens and Daniel Jackson are candidates to fill that void as well, but Spann-Ford feels like the more proven commodity. He's not as electric as Jackson (or Autman-Bell for that matter), but the Gophers are going to need to throw at least a little bit against Michigan State. I feel like Spann-Ford is going to do a lot for the price with his few extra targets.

Also consider: Ronnie Bell, Michigan ($7,300); Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee ($6,800); Jalon Calhoun, Duke ($6,100); Keon Coleman, Michigan State ($5,900); Dominic Lovett, Missouri ($5,000); Kamari Morales, North Carolina ($4,400)

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. Just look at Appalachian State-North Carolina in week 1. That game made several DFS players a few thousand bucks. Who can do that this week? Let's check it out!

Texas at Texas Tech

UTSA hung with the Longhorns until a couple of fatal errors derailed them. Tech's offense isn't as bad as North Carolina State made them look. All of their receivers are 6'3" or better, which is a real problem for most secondaries. I feel like Texas is going to run a lot with Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson again. Enough so that both of them could be of use. For Tech, I'm mostly looking at the receivers for value, though Sa'Rodorick Thompson is an intriguing option on the cheap. Any Tech RB is a risk though, so I view him and Tahj Brooks as mostly GPP plays.

Duke at Kansas

I mostly like the Kansas side of this, but Jalon Calhoun should be in for a nice game as well. Jaylen Coleman has been a solid back and Riley Leonard has been good enough to consider using. Duke has plenty of ways to go cheap enough to afford Jalon Daniels. I feel like Kansas receivers are a trap and they have three backs that all get work. That makes this a maddening situation for DFS, but Daniel Hishaw and Devin Neal both get enough work to consider them.

Honorable Mention: Missouri at Auburn
