DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/11/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Marcus Semien - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 11th 2022. Euan Leith's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Monday, Rotoballers! It's the final Monday before the 2022 All-Star break. With teams getting a few days of rest next week, we should expect a lot of full-strength lineups for the next seven days. This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/11/2022, Main Slate at 7:10 pm Eastern Time.

The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is eight games on DraftKings and seven on FanDuel. There are many ways to build a lineup, so use this as a gentle guide to push you in the right direction rather than a definitive must-have article. Any player can hit their value if they come in at the right price.

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

There will be reasonably strong winds in Cleveland on Monday as it's blowing out to right field at over 13 mph. Check-in closer to the first pitch for updates on that situation.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Nola - P, PHI at STL ($10,000 DraftKings; $10,100 FanDuel)

I prefer to chase strikeout upside in DFS. That's why it wasn't easy to pick between Max Scherzer and Nola for my SP1 recommendation. The Phillies pitcher is the shining symbol of consistency right now. Since June 8th, the 29-year-old's sporting a 2.01 ERA and 0.92 WHIP, and he's thrown at least seven innings in six straight starts. Meanwhile, Scherzer returned after nearly two months on the shelf and struck out 11 Reds in six innings but faces a formidable Atlanta lineup. Overall, I'm leaning towards taking the savings of Nola against a weaker team in St. Louis than the riskier pick of Scherzer. It doesn't feel great, but that's where my head is heading into Monday night's games.

Merrill Kelly - P, ARI at SF ($7,600 DK; $9,200 FD) - Better on DK

There are three elite pitching options to kick off the week, and then you can throw a dart for your SP2. If you're not going for the pocket aces approach, Merrill Kelly is the best of the rest. He's been a pleasant surprise in 2022, as a 3.34 FIP backs up his season-long 3.42 ERA. The 44.6 percent groundball and 5.9 percent HR/FB rates help, too. Arizona's right-handed hurler has logged a quality start in three of his past four, including his most recent outing versus this same San Francisco squad. He had a quarter-season blip but seems to be back on track in June and July. Over his previous six starts, he's averaging 18.6 DK points per game.

Brayan Bello - P, BOS at TB ($5,000 DK; $6,000 FD)

Any pitcher priced at $5,000 is worth a look because it doesn't take a lot for them to return exceptional value. Brayan Bello made his major league debut last week against this same Rays lineup. He'll have a chance to immediately redeem himself as he allowed four runs over four innings with only two strikeouts. In the minors, Bello racked up 114 Ks in 85 innings. Those numbers should play up against a Tampa Bay unit that strikes out 24.7 percent of the time versus righties.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Eric Hosmer - 1B, SD at Jose Urena ($2,100 DK; $3,000 FD)

Hosmer is the perfect combination of an upside and salary-saving play. Getting any player in Coors Field boosts your DFS lineup, but picking one up for $2,100 on DK is a steal. Hosmer has a hit in five of his last six games (two multi-hit efforts) and is well worth a punt in your tournament lineups as the fifth or sixth hitter in this Padres lineup.

Marcus Semien - 2B, TEX vs. Adrian Martinez ($5,200 DK; $3,700 FD)

Semien's price feels light on FanDuel, so I'm happy to get him in most of my lineups there. However, on DraftKings, he's more of a premium, and you can avoid him if you prefer some of the other heavy hitters. The Rangers' second baseman has launched his season in the summer months. In July alone, the 31-year-old has three home runs and two stolen bases to go with a .951 OPS, .403 wOBA, and .324 ISO.

Josh Rojas - 3B, ARI at Alex Cobb ($4,200 DK; $3,500 FD)

A leadoff hitter slashing .483/.545/.862 in July shouldn't be $4,200 on DraftKings. Fortunately, that's precisely where we find ourselves with Josh Rojas. The Diamondbacks utility bat has 16 hits, nine runs, eight RBI, eight doubles, a home run, and two steals over his previous 10 games.

Ha-Seong Kim - SS, SD at Jose Urena ($3,100 DK; $3,300 FD)

C.J. Abrams - SS, SD at Jose Urena ($2,100 DK; $2,500 FD)

Once again, getting some cheap exposure to Coors Field is always an excellent way to start the week. Kim (thumb) sat out Sunday's contest and is considered day-to-day heading into this NL West series. Abrams stepped in and went 2-for-3 with a double. Shortstop is quickly becoming an ugly position to fill for DFS, so I'd go all the way up to a $5,000 bat or punt the slot with either of the San Diego shortstops.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kris Bryant - OF, COL vs. Sean Manaea ($5,100 DK; $4,100 FD)

Bryant is one of my favorite premium-priced bats on Monday. A second stint on the IL seems to have cured the former MVP of his early-season ailments as he's lighting up the box scores since his return. Over his last 10 games, Bryant has 10 runs, three doubles, four homers, six RBI, and a 1.198 OPS. He left Sunday's game with cramping, but Rockies manager Bud Black said Bryant would be fine. He's only played 16 games at Coors Field this year and has a .349 slugging percentage in those games. However, with his current form, Bryant should boost that number sky-high by the end of this homestand.

Franmil Reyes - OF, CLE vs. Lance Lynn ($3,400 DK; $3,400 FD)

When Reyes mashes the baseball like he is, you stick him in your lineup and ride the wave. The Guardians DH has clobbered four home runs this month and has an extra-base hit in five of his previous six games. Lance Lynn hasn't impressed since he joined the White Sox this year (5.33 ERA, 1.33 WHIP), and Franmil has a fantastic chance to hit another long ball in the opening game of a critical AL Central series.

Harold Ramirez - OF, TB vs. Brayan Bello ($3,400 DK; $3,200 FD)

I realize I'm recommending Bello as a cheap pitching option for today's slate, but it's also hard to ignore what Ramirez has been up to in Tampa. The outfielder has six multi-hit outings in his previous nine games, collecting seven runs, seven RBI, six doubles, and a home run during this stretch. He's taken on an everyday role for the Rays and should stay in the heart of the order with Wander Franco and others hitting the Injured List.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Game stack: San Diego Padres (Sean Manaea, LHP) at Colorado Rockies (Jose Urena, RHP)

  • Sometimes you can get away from Coors when it's a bigger slate. Tonight is not one of those nights.

Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays (Josh Fleming, LHP)

  • Since May 1, Boston has led baseball with a .836 OPS versus southpaws. They are coming off a week where they scored 36 runs across six games. J.D. Martinez at $4,100 on DK feels like a good value.
