DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/19/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

luis severino fantasy baseball rankings starting pitchers draft sleepers MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 19th 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Father's day to all the dads out there! It's Sunday Funday, and we're ready for a full slate of MLB action. For those who are not familiar, welcome back my fellow RotoBallers to our free daily article for MLB DFS lineup picks and value plays. This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/19/2022, Main Slate at 1:35 pm Eastern Time.

The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 8 games on DraftKings and 9 on FanDuel. The one game that is FanDuel only is Coors field.  There are a lot of different routes one can go with lineup construction and tournament strategy.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

The only weather concern is some rain is expected in Denver this afternoon. It is unclear if it will be enough to impact the game.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Alex Cobb - P, SFG @ PIT ($8,500 DK, $7,600 FD)

Frankie Montas would be my cash game choice at SP1 on DraftKings and is viable as your pitcher on FanDuel if you are spending up on big bats. Cobb has the lowest SIERA on the slate (2.67), a 28.7% strikeout rate, and a 7.3% walk rate. He is facing the Pirates, who have the second-highest strikeout rate and have scored the second-fewest runs. He is coming off the IL with a neck injury, so if that scares you away there are two more picks below.

Luis Severino - P, NYY @ TOR ($10,300 DK, $10,000 FD)

Luis Severino is a good tournament option for today, mostly because of the fact he is pitching to Toronto. He has a 3.08 SIERA, 28.9% strikeout rate and the Yankees are favored to win as they face Yusei Kikuchi. The Yankees should clean up at the plate.

Chris Bassitt - P, NYM vs. MIA ($8,900 DK, $9,300 FD)

Chris Bassitt is the third-best pitcher on the slate. He has a 3.47 SIERA and a 25.5% strikeout rate. Miami is tied for the 6th-highest strikeout rate, 17th in runs scored, 13th in ISO, and 17th in OBP. This is a middle of the road offense that strikes out frequently, a good combination for our DFS pitchers.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Evan Longoria - 3B, SFG vs. Mitch Keller ($3,300 DK, $2,500 FD)

Mitch Keller is not a good pitcher with a 4.44 SIERA and 18.8% strikeout rate. Longoria does hit better against left-handed pitchers than right-handed pitchers, but if he starts in the middle of the order, I'd consider him as a value today at a position that is often difficult to find value in.

Willy Adames - SS, MLW vs. Mike Minor ($5,300 DK, $3,200 FD)

Willy Adames has a .340 wOBA and .300 ISO against left-handed pitching. Minor has a 4.40 SIERA and is allowing 3.68 HR/9 as well.

Gleyber Torres - 2B, NYY vs. Yusei Kikuchi  ($3,700 DK, $3,200 FD)

The Yankees should be popular today, however, Torres is less expensive and has a .390 wOBA and .410 ISO against left-handed pitching. Kikuchi has a 4.54 SIERA, making this a great matchup.

Matt Olson - 1B, ATL vs. Kyle Hendricks ($4,000 DK, $3,400 FD)

Kyle Hendricks is a good pitcher to target today. He has a 4.72 SIERA, allowing 1.55 HR/9, and has a strikeout rate of just 15.9%. Olson has a .350 wOBA and .220 ISO against right-handed pitchers this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Riley Greene - OF, DET vs. Dane Dunning ($2,000 DK, $2,000 FD)

Riley Greene is a phenom that was expected to start at the beginning of the year but was delayed due to injury. He is likely to bat middle of the order, is minimum priced, and while Dunning is solid, it wouldn't take much to hit value here.

Hunter Renfroe - OF, MLW vs. Mike Minor ($3,500 DK, $3,100 FD)

As stated earlier, Minor is a pitcher to target today in DFS. Renfroe has a .380 wOBA and .350 ISO against left-handed pitchers this season.

Tyler O'Neill - OF, STL vs. Nick Pivetta  ($3,500 DK, $2,600 FD)

Tyler O'Neill started having more contact when he came back from injury. Now with a home run last night, is the power coming back? Even though Pivetta isn't necessarily a pitcher to pick on, O'Neill is still underpriced for his talent.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:

  • San Francisco Giants - Bad starter, bad bullpen, and being in a pitcher's ballpark can drive some people away.
  • Atlanta Braves - Hendricks has one of the highest SIERA's and lowest strikeout rates on the slate. This whole lineup can rake.
  • New York Yankees - Expensive but they can mash lefties and Kikuchi is a below-average lefty.
  • Milwaukee Brewers - Mike Minor is allowing 3.68 HR/9 ya'll.
  • Detroit Tigers - This is my YOLO sneaky stack. They scored 14 runs yesterday, this offense is getting healthier and pretty cheap. Can easily be included as a filler stack.
  • San Diego Padres - This is the best stack on FanDuel, this game is not on the DraftKings slate. Senzatela has a 4.74 SIERA and a strikeout rate of just 11.2%. On top of that, Colorado has one of the worst bullpens in the league with a 4.73 bullpen ERA.
