Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Mike Evans, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) is listed as questionable for Week 4 and is considered a game-time decision, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic. Evans took a hard shot to the body on his first target of the game last Sunday and was eventually removed from the game later in the first half after clutching at his side in obvious pain following a broken pass play. Evans missed the 49ers' first two practices of the week but was a limited participant on Friday.
If Evans is forced to sit, the offense will have greater focus on George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey, with wide receivers Deebo Samuel Sr., Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing seeing potential boosts as well. Assuming he is active, Evans is projected as a back-end WR3 playing hurt and with a potential matchup against Pat Surtain. Fantasy managers may want to avoid the risk and find an alternative for Week 4.
Jaylen Waddle, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle failed to follow up a massive Week 2 performance with another fruitful effort in Week 3. Waddle finished a win over the Los Angeles Rams with just two receptions on seven targets, totaling 10 yards receiving and adding one carry for 14 yards rushing.
Outside of his 10-reception, 138-yard performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2, Waddle has finished with just three receptions for 12 yards in his team's other two matchups. The Broncos take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, whose pass defense allowed Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson to record 11 receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown last week.
Waddle is RotoBaller's 22nd-ranked wide receiver and is projected to score 11 fantasy points against San Francisco.
Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton has gotten off to a slow start in his second season. In three games, Hampton has 50 carries for 193 yards and two touchdowns, two receptions for 21 yards, and two fumbles. The second-year back saw a dip in snaps and opportunities in Week 3's loss to the Buffalo Bills, dropping from 61% to 42%. With Keaton Mitchell healthy and producing at a very efficient clip, and with the team struggling offensively, Hampton could struggle to meet expectations given his high draft capital.
Adding to the negative points around his fantasy outlook, the Chargers face the Seahawks, Broncos, Chiefs, Rams, and Texans in the next six weeks, all of which ranked inside the top 10 in run defense in 2025. With his tough schedule, decreasing role, and struggles with ball security, Hampton is a risky option moving forward.
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
Coming off his best game of the season, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison carries WR3/Flex potential into the team's Week 4 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The former USC Trojan caught his first touchdown of the season and led the Vikings in receiving in a win last week at Tampa Bay, and now Minnesota approaches this week without star receiver Justin Jefferson (ankle).
The Vikings' offense has looked bad, but Miami has bigger issues up and down the roster, and its defense has been no exception. The Dolphins have allowed points on half of their opponents' possessions, which is tied for last in the NFL, and they also rank in the bottom five in yards per play (29th), pressure percentage (30th), and sacks (32nd).
Addison's solid performance last week, temporary status as the team's top receiver, and a lowly-ranked opponent give him lineup appeal. He's RotoBaller's WR29 for Week 4.
Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II will step into an expanded role in Week 4, and he is definitely a deep-league fantasy option even in a tough matchup with the Vikings. Gordon stepped in last week for De'Von Achane (knee), who was lost for the season. He played 84% of snaps and took 17 carries for 41 rushing yards and a touchdown, while catching all three of his targets for 14 receiving yards.
His efficiency was not impressive in the struggling offense, but he should be in a large enough role to be a touchdown-dependent play. He's only a fringe option in standard-sized leagues due to a very tough matchup against the Vikings, who have allowed zero RB touchdowns and the fourth-fewest fantasy points to the position. He will also likely share time with Jaylen Wright, who missed Week 3 with a foot injury.
In a tough matchup and an uncertain timeshare, Gordon is the RB36 this week in RotoBaller's rankings, but he definitely has the opportunity to win playing time for the rest of the season in Achane's absence, so stash him on your bench in standard-sized leagues and see how the week plays out.
