Fantasy Baseball Top 100 Prospects for 2024 First-Year Player Drafts (FYPD)

Dylan Crews - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Benjamin's top 100 fantasy baseball prospect rankings for 2024 first-year player drafts (FYPD). MLB prospect rankings for fantasy baseball dynasty leagues.

This year's draft has one of the most talented player groups in many years, and this offseason looks to have multiple major players come over from Japan and Korea. As a result, this year's first-year player drafts (FYPDs) in dynasty leagues will be some of the most interesting in many years.

It's rare to have a player who's already debuted in the majors be part of a FYPD player pool, not to mention the number of players who have expected debuts in the 2024 season coming off this offseason's draft. Players who have been committed to international free agency from foreign professional leagues or have been drafted already are included in this first release of rankings. As the 2024 international free agent class is released, rankings may be affected, but there will be an update for that.

Of course, even an elite prospect like Ethan Salas in the 2023 class is a rarity in the international January market, so the players added in that time could be limited. Look ahead this offseason as the FYPD ranks are updated below to help you in your drafts!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

MLB Prospect Rankings for First-Year Player Drafts

Proximity will rank highly in these rankings as a player that can return value immediately in a FYPD is always a benefit. Of course, this year's class offers both elite talent and proximity!

Breaking It Down

The top five of the 2023 MLB draft are five of the top six in these rankings, though not exactly in the same order that they were drafted. Langford has leaped forward as the top option in this class, but many trusted scouts have hinted that Walker Jenkins could very well be worthy of the second-overall selection. Nolan Schanuel made his debut this year, but among MLB draft prospects on this list, at least another handful could legitimately see major league time in 2024, which is a testament to the talent in this year's FYPD crop.

Yamamoto (No. 2) headlines a very strong international professional free-agent class that could add even more players. While Lee is the best position player that will come over, his fantasy impact beyond a strong batting average is questionable.

One signee from Asian ball who will get his first exposure in FYPD drafts in many leagues is the Dodgers' Hyun-Seok Jang. The Dodgers signed him this summer and the teenage righty was expected to go first in the Korean draft after graduating high school. Keep an eye on his development.
