Zay Jones Likely A Long Shot To Play This Week
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said it's probably a long shot that wide receiver Zay Jones (knee) will play in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, but the team will give him another day to see. It sounds like Jones won't officially be ruled out on Friday's final injury report, but he could receive a doubtful designation. In any event, fantasy managers can't count on Jones to return this weekend, and he should remain on the waiver wire in most standard 12-team leagues. The 28-year-old has only played in three games this season and not since aggravating his knee injury in Week 5 in London. Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk and tight end Evan Engram will remain the team's top three targets for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, with Jamal Agnew working as the No. 3 receiver. Agnew isn't a realistic flex option in the majority of fantasy formats.
