Yu Darvish's Imaging Comes Out Clean
6 months agoSan Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt said that right-hander Yu Darvish (elbow, groin) had some imaging that came out clean and will likely get some more imaging done for peace of mind. Darvish will stay behind during the team's current road trip. The Padres were initially expecting the 37-year-old veteran to come off the 15-day injured list to start on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals, but he was scratched with inflammation in his right elbow. The good news is he's recovered from his groin injury, and his elbow injury doesn't appear very serious. Still, there's no word on when Darvish might be able to return to San Diego's starting rotation. If he needs a minor-league rehab start before returning, there's a chance Darvish won't make it back to the big-league club before the All-Star break in mid-July.
