William Byron of Hendrick Motorsports was one of the most steady and consistent drivers to run towards the front part of the pack during Sunday's Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. Starting from the third position, Byron ran around the top five throughout most of the race, especially the first stage. Byron would challenge for as high as second, but was passed by Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, and Chase Briscoe, settling for fourth and earning a couple of stage points. During the second stage, Byron competed for the lead against Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin while continuing to run inside the top five. His team executed on all pit stops, and Byron would fall short of winning stage two, finishing second to Blaney. In the final stage, it was more of the same as Byron continued running inside the top five, keeping his car clean, and performing pit stops without mistakes. Byron ended up in the fifth position by the end of the race and stayed ahead of Bubba Wallace to earn his first top-5 result at Nashville since 2021.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
