Quinnen Williams Leaves Practice with Calf Injury
New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (calf) "tweaked" his left calf during individual drills at the start of the team's Thursday practice, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Williams did not return during team sessions, but Jets head coach Aaron Glenn did not provide an update on his status. Any missed time for Williams would be a major issue for New York's defense. The 27-year-old was named first-team All-Pro in 2022, and he's recorded 39 sacks and 98 QB hits in his six-year NFL career. Williams has played in at least 16 games in each of the past three seasons, so durability isn't typically an issue for him. If he were to miss time, veterans Jay Tufele and Byron Cowart would likely be in line for increased reps.
