Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (blood clots) reportedly started the team's Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London after going roughly 36 hours without sleep. According to Tom Pelissero, doctors instructed Hurts not to sleep as a precaution after a superficial blood clot was discovered in his calf in London. The Eagles previously stated that their medical staff and doctors in London had cleared him to play, and Hurts went on to complete 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in Philadelphia's 19-17 loss. Follow-up testing later revealed deep vein thrombosis and blood clots in both lungs. Hurts will miss the remainder of the 2026 season while undergoing treatment.--Bruno Mulé
