Harrison Bader Gets Dealt to the Phillies
Harrison Bader has been traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, MLB insider Jon Heyman reports. The Phillies and Twins continue to do business, as they send 31-year-old Bader to the Phillies. Bader has been productive this season, with a .258/.339/.438 slash line with 12 home runs, 31 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, and 38 RBI. To go along with the production at the plate, Bader is an elite defender, winning a Gold Glove award back in 2021. He currently ranks in the 84th percentile in fielding run value and joins a Phillies team that is trotting out Brandon Marsh, Nick Castellanos, Max Kepler, and occasionally Kyle Schwarber. All of whom are below-average fielders. It appears likely that Bader, being a right-handed hitter, will be utilized against left-handed pitching and be used as a defensive substitution late in games. His fantasy value likely takes a slight hit, as he was an everyday player for the Twins.
