Luis Robert Jr. More Likely to Stay With White Sox
Luis Robert Jr. leading up to Thursday's MLB trade deadline, but sources tell MLB.com's Mark Feinsand that Robert is more likely to stay with the Sox. Chicago would likely pick up his $20 million option for the 2026 season and hope for more of what they've seen over the last month before potentially trading him in 2026. Feinsand adds that other teams liked Robert, but not enough to meet the White Sox's asking price. Robert's two $20 million team options in 2026 and 2027 also complicate matters, as some suitors could look at him as just a rental. A trade to a contender would certainly boost La Pantera's fantasy value in 2025. The Cuban slugger is hitting just .213 on the year with 11 homers, but he also has 27 steals and is hitting .353 with three homers, 11 RBI and five steals in 15 games in July. He's still very much a fantasy asset.
