White Sox Release Adam Eaton
3 years agoThe Chicago White Sox granted outfielder Adam Eaton his unconditional release on Monday after he was designated for assignment last weekend. Eaton didn't last long in his return to Chicago after hitting just .201/.298/.344 with five home runs, 28 RBI and two stolen bases in 219 plate appearances in 2021. The 32-year-old should eventually find another team, but it probably won't be more than a minor league contract at this point in his career. The Pale Hose have suffered through some big injuries in their outfield, but Adam Engel is back in the fold and veteran Brian Goodwin finished the first half on a nice run at the plate, so Eaton became the odd man out.
