White Sox Place Tim Anderson On Injured List
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox are placing shortstop Tim Anderson (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a sprained left knee. They recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Anderson left Monday's game early against the Minnesota Twins with left knee soreness, but it turned out to be more than just soreness. He's one of the best shortstops in the game, so fantasy managers will need to keep him stashed in all formats. The 29-year-old was off to a good start, too, hitting .298 (14-for-47) with five doubles, four RBI, nine runs scored and five stolen bases in his first 11 games. Sosa has hit very well in the minors and will be worth a look as a deep-league pickup if he secures everyday playing time at the 6 in Chicago while Anderson is on the shelf.
