White Sox Designate Adam Eaton For Assignment
Adam Eaton for assignment. Eaton joined the White Sox for the second time in his career with a one-year deal this offseason, but things didn't go as planned this time around. The veteran hit a weak .201 with five home runs, 28 RBI and two stolen bases over 189 at-bats. Eaton could get a chance with another organization, but his days of fantasy relevance are all but over at this stage in his career. Outfielder Adam Engel (hamstring) has been activated from the 10-day injured list and will replace Eaton on the active roster. Engel has been banged up most of the season and most of his value comes as a defensive outfielder. Engel can be avoided in all formats for now.
