Tyler O'Neill Back On Thursday
10 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (knee) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday after being scratched from the lineup the last two days with left-knee tightness. He is starting in left field and batting fifth against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Zack Littell. Despite another disappointing campaign in 2023 due to an extended stay on the injured list with a back injury, O'Neill has fantasy appeal down the stretch due to his power/speed combination as a regular in St. Louis' outfield. Since returning from his back injury on July 20, O'Neill has gone 15-for-53 (.283) with three home runs, four doubles, seven RBI, a stolen base and seven runs scored in 15 games (14 starts). The 28-year-old Canadian is two years removed from hitting 34 home runs, driving in 80 and stealing 15 bases in 138 games.
