Tyler O'Neill Back On Thursday
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill (knee) is back in the starting lineup on Thursday after being scratched from the lineup the last two days with left-knee tightness. He is starting in left field and batting fifth against Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Zack Littell. Despite another disappointing campaign in 2023 due to an extended stay on the injured list with a back injury, O'Neill has fantasy appeal down the stretch due to his power/speed combination as a regular in St. Louis' outfield. Since returning from his back injury on July 20, O'Neill has gone 15-for-53 (.283) with three home runs, four doubles, seven RBI, a stolen base and seven runs scored in 15 games (14 starts). The 28-year-old Canadian is two years removed from hitting 34 home runs, driving in 80 and stealing 15 bases in 138 games.
