Landen Roupp Carted Off With Apparent Knee Injury
Landen Roupp (knee) was carted off the field on Wednesday against the San Diego Padres with an apparent injury to his left knee. Roupp took a line drive off the right leg from Ramon Laureano in the bottom of the third inning, and he twisted his left knee awkwardly while trying to get out of the way. The Giants replaced Roupp with left-hander Joey Lucchesi. Wednesday's start was Roupp's second since he spent the last week of July and the first half of August on the 15-day injured list with elbow inflammation. Although the 26-year-old yielded five earned runs on five hits and two walks in 2 1/3 innings against the Padres, he has been an effective part of San Francisco's rotation this season. Roupp has made 22 starts and gone 7-6 with a 3.80 ERA and 102:45 K:BB in 106 2/3 innings.
