McCade Brown Expected to Start for Rockies on Sunday
McCade Brown to be called up from the minors to start on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The former third-round pick in 2021 has proven that he's fully healthy after having Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in 2023. The 25-year-old has a combined 4-2 record with a 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 105:30 K:BB in 76 2/3 innings pitched over 20 starts on the farm this year between High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford. While Brown has handled himself well in Colorado's farm system this year and would have a nice matchup on Sunday against the last-place Bucs, fantasy managers should be wary of rolling with Brown in what would be his MLB debut due to the fact that he has yet to pitch at Triple-A. Brown is not on MLB Pipeline's list of the Rockies' top-30 prospects, either.
