Micah Parsons Expected to Play in Week 1
According to Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons is expected to play in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. When asked about Parsons' availability for Week 1, Schottenheimer told reporters, "I feel good that Micah is going to be out there against the Philadelphia Eagles." Parsons and the Cowboys have been engaged in a very public contract dispute for months, with the four-time Pro Bowler going as far as requesting a trade at the beginning of August. Rumors about what a potential trade package might look like have swirled since, but the Cowboys have a history of waiting until the last minute to extend some of their biggest stars, so it is not out of the question that a deal is finalized before the season kicks off. Parsons is an easy first-round pick in most IDP-only formats and is in play for the 1.01 in leagues that heavily reward sacks.
