Lamar Jackson May Be "a Week Away" From Returning
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) ran the scout team during practice on Friday, which could be "an indication that the two-time MVP is a week away from returning." Jackson has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring in Week 4. He was able to practice in full on Friday, but it appears there is real concern that he will not be able to play in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears. If Jackson is unable to go, veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley is in line to start against Chicago. In 26 career games (14 starts), Huntley has completed 64.7% of his pass attempts for 2,854 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Should Jackson be cleared to play, he remains a must-start fantasy quarterback, but fantasy managers should likely lower their expectations for what he will do as a rusher. If Huntley gets the start, fantasy managers would likely be wise to avoid Huntley and significantly downgrade key Ravens skill position pieces such as wide receiver Zay Flowers and running back Derrick Henry.
