Max Shabanov Out Against Red Wings
New York Islanders right wing Max Shabanov (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's clash against the Detroit Red Wings and is considered day-to-day. He will be sidelined for the first time this season. Shabanov is a 25-year-old rookie for the Islanders. The Russian forward made a jump to the NHL after having back-to-back productive campaigns in the KHL with his hometown Traktor Chelyabinsk. Shabanov scored in his NHL debut and has totaled three points (one goal, two assists) in six games. Kyle MacLean is expected to take Shabanov's spot in the lineup. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect any scoring from MacLean, as he has totaled only 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 115 career games.
