Carter Hart Signs Two-Year Deal With Golden Knights
Goaltender Carter Hart (suspension) signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday. He joined the team on a professional tryout agreement last week and has now secured a standard contract, enabling him to continue his NHL career. Due to a suspension, Hart won't be eligible to play in the NHL until Dec. 1. However, he can start appearing in games for Vegas' AHL affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights, from Nov. 15. With Adin Hill (lower body) currently out week-to-week, Akira Schmid is operating as Vegas' de facto starter. Hart, who holds a 96-93-29 career record in the NHL, will start competing with Schmid for playing time once he's available to return from his suspension.
