Rasmus Sandin Won't Play on Friday
Washington Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sandin (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He's nursing an upper-body injury that he suffered in Tuesday's 4-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken. On Thursday, Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery said that Sandin is considered day-to-day. In seven outings this season, Sandin has posted two assists, 10 blocks, and 16 hits. Dylan McIlrath and Declan Chisholm are the options to replace Sandin on Friday. Sandin's first chance to return will be Saturday's matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
