Alexander Kerfoot Undergoes Surgery
Utah Mammoth forward Alexander Kerfoot (lower body) will have his season debut further delayed due to surgery. On Friday, Mammoth general manager Doug Armstrong announced that Kerfoot will be out 8-10 weeks following a successful procedure to repair a core muscle. Kerfoot missed training camp with a lower-body injury and was listed as week-to-week at the start of the regular season. Based on the projected recovery time, Kerfoot may not be ready for action until around Christmas. Kerfoot has produced four 40-point campaigns, but he could struggle to make the current Utah lineup. Last season, the 31-year-old notched 11 goals and 28 assists in 81 appearances.
