Lamar Jackson Will Not Play in Week 8, Expected to Return in Week 9
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) will remain sidelined for his team's Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears and is expected to make his return in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. Jackson will miss his third consecutive game after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4. In his absence, Baltimore will turn to Tyler Huntley at quarterback in Week 8. Huntley replaced Cooper Rush at quarterback in Baltimore's 17-3 Week 6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, completing 10 of 15 pass attempts for 68 yards, adding 39 yards as a rusher on three carries. Huntley brings a dual-threat element with his rushing ability, but he should be avoided by fantasy managers due to his limitations as a passer. Fantasy managers would also be wise to downgrade Baltimore's skill position players based on how the team's offense has struggled when Jackson has been sidelined this season.
