Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz (hamstring) left Thursday's game with right hamstring soreness, which was later classified by the manager as a low-grade hamstring strain, reports Ryan Bass of Fanduel Sports Network Sun. He appeared to be bothered by the injury in the fifth inning, but didn't leave until the seventh when Jake Mangum pinch hit for him. Kevin Cash said they're hopeful that it's nothing serious and that they will check on him tomorrow. The 34-year-old was having a strong performance before exiting, going 2-for-3 with a home run, his 21st of the season. Consider him day-to-day for now, but the severity may be better understood tomorrow.--Jeremy Heist
