Triston Casas Returns From Tooth Infection
1 year agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (tooth) is back at first base and is batting cleanup for the Red Sox on Monday against the Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. Casas was held out of the team's last two games while dealing with a tooth infection, but he's good to go for the start of a series on Monday against Houston. The 23-year-old left-handed slugger has posted 20 home runs, 16 doubles, two triples, 48 RBI, 54 runs scored and a .253 (88-for-348) batting average in 2023 in his first full season in the big leagues. So far in the month of August, he's gone 13-for-53 (.245) with four long balls, a double, eight RBI and eight runs scored in 16 starts. Get him back into your starting lineups for his power.
