Trevor Story Hitting In Three-Hole In Season Debut
1 year agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story (elbow) is starting at shortstop and is hitting in the three-hole for Boston in his 2023 season debut on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Brady Singer. Story was activated from the 60-day injured list earlier on Tuesday after finally recovering from surgery on his right elbow in January. The 30-year-old hasn't played in an MLB game since last September, so fantasy managers may want to expect some initial rust, although he did look good at the plate during his minor-league rehab assignment. Story was about league average when healthy in 2022 in Boston, but he also dealt with injuries along the way. He'll be the team's everyday shortstop and could provide fantasy managers with decent counting stats the rest of the way.
