Tommy DeVito To Make Another Start Against Commanders
1 year agoNew York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that rookie quarterback Tommy Devito's shoulder is OK and he will make his second career start in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders. In his first career start last weekend against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys, DeVito predictably looked overmatched, going 14-for-27 for just 86 yards and an interception, although he did contribute two touchdown passes with the game well out of hand in the second half. He also picked up 41 rushing yards on seven carries. The 25-year-old might be limited in practice early this week, but he will look for better results in a good matchup against Washington this Sunday. Still, DeVito is a last-gasp, low-end QB2 option in two-QB leagues. UPDATE: DeVito was limited in practice Wednesday.
