The Houston Texans are planning to sign free-agent cornerback Damon Arnette, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The former first-round pick by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Ohio State has not appeared in an NFL game since 2021 and is eyeing an NFL comeback. In just 13 career games with the Silver and Black, he posted 29 tackles and three pass deflections. Arnette spent the Spring with the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL, compiling 18 tackles, one sack, and a pick-six. The 28-year-old will likely find a tough time making the team's 53-man roster, but surprises happen, so this is an interesting story to follow.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
