The Houston Texans signed free-agent cornerback Jason Verrett to their practice squad on Wednesday. Verrett spent the last four years with the San Francisco 49ers, and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans was the team's defensive coordinator for the last two seasons. Verrett's NFL career has been plagued by constant injuries. He played in one game in 2019 before suffering a season-ending ankle injury and tore his ACL in the first game in 2021. Verrett tore his Achilles last October and also suffered a torn Achilles and ACL while playing for the Los Angeles Chargers after they drafted him in the first round in 2014. The 32-year-old has played in just 40 games (36 starts) since entering the league in 2014.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
