Steelers Sign Tyler Simmons, Chris Wormley
Tyler Simmons to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday. The team also re-signed defensive lineman Chris Wormley to an undisclosed two-year deal. Simmons went undrafted in 2020 and spent time last season on the Houston Texans practice squad. He was signed after working out at Georgia's Pro Day. Simmons is improving his speed and agility and is a physical player. He's also a willing blocker. Wormley, 27, was a third-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2017 out of Michigan. He played in three seasons in Baltimore before being traded to Pittsburgh, where he recorded eight tackles and a sack in 13 games (one start) last season.
