Tua Tagovailoa, Starters Won't Play on Saturday
Tua Tagovailoa and most of the team's starters for their second preseason game on Saturday against the Detroit Lions. Tagovailoa went 5-for-6 for 27 yards in the preseason opener last week against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but he'll sit out of this one with the rest of the starters, which will allow backup Zach Wilson to make the start this weekend. In addition to Tagovailoa, the Dolphins will rest receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill (oblique), who has been in and out of practices this week due to an oblique injury. In addition to Wilson, rookie signal-caller Quinn Ewers will see action for Miami against Detroit. After a disappointing offensive season for the Dolphins in 2024 and more head injuries for Tua, he has dropped to low-end QB2 status in fantasy.
