2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (neck) left Wednesday's game early against the Los Angeles Dodgers with neck soreness. Marte dealt with a neck injury earlier this month as well, so although it doesn't seem like a serious injury, it could still land him on the injured list. Fantasy managers need to prepare for that possibility. Marte started in right field and went 0-for-3 in the game before being pulled early. The 34-year-old Dominican outfielder is off to a bit of a slow start in 2023, going 14-for-60 (.233) with four doubles, one home run, five RBI, seven stolen bases and eight runs scored in his first 17 games. Hopefully, Marte will be able to return later this week. Consider him day-to-day for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
