1 year agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan (forearm) will undergo Tommy John surgery on Monday and will likely miss all of the 2024 season. We already knew that McClanahan was out for the rest of the 2023 campaign, but now the talented 26-year-old southpaw will also miss all of next year. It's a tough break for the Rays and McClanahan after another strong season before he landed on the injured list on Aug. 3. Fantasy managers can obviously drop him in single-year leagues if you haven't done so already, but those in dynasty/keeper leagues need to keep him stashed. McClanahan went 11-2 in 2023 with a 3.29 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 121 strikeouts in 115 innings of work. He's made the All-Star squad in two of his first three major-league seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
