4 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks signed free-agent pass-rusher Aldon Smith to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to sources. Smith was an All-Pro for the San Francisco 49ers back in 2012 and recorded five sacks, 14 QB hits and 50 pressures for the Dallas Cowboys last season in his return to action after being out of the league from 2016 to 2019 due to a number of legal issues. The 31-year-old has 52.5 career sacks since entering the NFL in 2011. Seattle has had interest in Smith for a while now and even tried to trade for him last year. If Smith can continue to avoid off-field distractions, he could form a formidable trio with Carlos Dunlap and Kerry Hyder on the Seahawks defensive line.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
