Russell Gage Won't Play Against Jets
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Russell Gage (ankle) will not travel to London for the Week 5 game against the New York Jets. It will be Gage's third straight absence. No. 1 receiver Calvin Ridley also won't travel due to a personal issue, which means Olamide Zaccheaus and Tajae Sharpe will be the team's top receivers in a really good matchup. Behind them, the Falcons will ask the likes of Christian Blake and rookie Frank Darby to step up. Rookie first-round tight end Kyle Pitts, who has disappointed through his first four games, could be in for his best game of the season, even though the Jets defense has yet to allow a touchdown to a tight end this year. With his top two receivers out of action, quarterback Matt Ryan falls into the low-end QB2 picture.
