7 years agoThe Kansas City Royals have claimed outfielder Abraham Almonte off waivers after he was waived by the Indians. The 29-year-old was waived after he reportedly showed up to camp out of shape and overweight. Almonte has served as a fifth outfielder for Cleveland the last couple years, and he'll serve the same basic role for KC at this time.
